Travel and Transport to Pisa

Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA) offers buses, car rental, taxis and airport train services. The airport is two kilometers from Pisa, 20 kilometers from Livorno and 80 kilometers from Florence.

By Taxis: the taxi service at the airport is operated by CO.TA.PI (Pisa Taxi Co-operative) and they are outside the Arrivals Hall.
A ride to Pisa costs between €5.00 and €7.00, at weekends and holidays there is a surplus of €2.00.

Shared taxi with Pisa Taxi Cooperation (maximum eight passengers): the shared taxi is also right outside the exit and leaves every ten minutes at a calculated fixed rate
To the train station it costs €2.50 and to the Leaning Tower of Pisa the cost will be €4.00,

By Train: The train station is just outside the Departures Hall, offering direct connections with Pisa.
Single ticket: €1.10 to Pisa, €5.10 to Florence. Train tickets are sold at the information counter in the Arrivals Hall. The train schedule is on the airport website.

By Bus: City buses from Compagnia Pisana Trasporti leave every 20 minutes to Pisa. The main bus stop is out the arrival area and the name is “City Bus”. Buses that go to Lucca also stop in the center of Pisa.
The bus number 3 will bring you directly to Piazza dei Miracoli and to Freestate Guest Houses.
Ticket: EUR 0,85 for one hour travel within the whole bus network.

A special shuttle bus to the airport goes to Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence, the buses leave eleven times per day from 8:40 to 22:00.
