How to reach Pisa Airport

By aromano

Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA) in Italy is almost 2 km (ca. 1 mile) far from the south of Pisa city centre and is located within the San Giusto district. Many visitors to Pisa want to fly back via the Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport (PSA), use the city’s public transport network.

One of the transport options to reach Galileo Galilei Airport is the railway station: trains arrive and depart from the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II directly to the airport railways terminal. A direct service links also the Santa Maria Novella Station from Florence to the airport.

By car, Pisa Airport is directly on the highway Florence-Pisa-Livorno. The exit will be on the A12 to Genoa, and again connected with the A11 to Florence. The airport is very close to Pisa: no more than ten minutes by car to go the south of the city.

Buses by the CPT (Compagnia Pisana Trasporti) are the cheapest way: EUR 0,85 (number 3).
‘CO.TA.PI’ taxi (between EUR 5 and EUR 7) and shared cabs (max 8 persons) from the railways station could be also an option available: the lattest will charge you only EUR 2,50 from the Pisa station railways.
