Tuscany wines

Tuscany is situated on the central-western italian coast of the Meditsangiovese grapeserranean. Tuscany is well known for its winemaking.
If you have ever had dinner in an Italian restaurant then there are big chances you could not resist to taste that smooth red juice in straw-wrapped flask.
Chances are you were probably drinking Chianti. Tuscany is basically a huge vineyard that contains big and fruity red. The sangiovese is the foundation of Tuscany’s production of wine. Sangiovese is the only grape used for Brunello di Montalcino. It is also the main ingredient used for Chianti, Montepulciano. Sangiovese is often mixed with other grapes to produce a full flavored rich wine. If sangiovese is used alone it is very difficult to get the taste that is desired.

Chianti and Chianti classic is easily the most popular and most important wine produced in this region. Considered the new breed of Tuscan red wines, Super-tuscans, which are made in a more international style using French wine varieties such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Other important Tuscan wines are Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bolgheri and Carmignano and Maremma wines. For white wines, the key production area is San Gimignano.

If you really love fine wine, visiting the wine capital of the world is a must.
