If you’re looking for a dream atmosphere in Tuscany, you can reach a small medieval village called Lari. It is in the Pisan area where the beautiful hills are made of chalky soil.

In Lari you can visit the castle of the Vicars, so that you will learn many things about the ancient battles between Florence and Pisa. From the terrace of the castle you will understand why many years ago it was built on the top of that special hill.

From the castle you can have a walk along the alleyways and reach a family run pasta factory or taste all the good pies and jams and liquors made with cherries. Lari is famous for its delicious 19 kind of cherries.

In May and June a local festival of cherries is taken, so if you have the chance to visit our region don’t forget our special local produce. At the festival you will taste also our good pasta or meat like “bistecca” or “rosticciana” in a rural place.

At Il Frutteto you will find a private parking, a laundry area, a gazebo and two large verandas. Once you are there you can leave your car and have all the rest you need!
