LUCCA – TUSCANY

Curiosity of Lucca
Lucca was the last town for capital execution in Italy by the guillotine. It was 29 July 1845. The Zecca of Lucca is the most ancient of Europe and had minted coins from 650 d.c until 1843 d.c.

Lucca can be found in the central position in respect to all the most beautiful art towns of Tuscany.
Less than one hour by car from Florence, Pisa and Montecatini Terme.
By train: direct trains from Florence, Prato and Pisa
By plane: Lucca is the centre of two international airports: Galileo Galilei airport of Pisa and Amerigo Vespucci airport of Florence that connects the major European and International cities. The airport of Pisa is connected with Pisa Station with direct trains.
