Since Pisa is a busy city with hundreds of thousands of tourists passing by each year there are many things to see and do. One of the most useful and worthwhile experiences you can do in this city is brush up on your Italian language. There are various schools located in Pisa that allow foreigners to come and study a course suited to their level of Italian. Whether you are a first-timer, beginner, intermediate or advanced there will be something on offer for you. Most courses start around 9am and finish around 1pm which include a half way break of about 15min to go and refresh your memory with a nice cappuccino and pastry from a cafe nearby. Each lesson is usually made up of two hours of grammar and two hours of conversation.

The great thing about these courses is that it leaves your afternoon free to go and see the city and surrounding areas whilst practising your Italian. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to order a Pizza in perfect Italian. Most schools also organise excursions in the afternoon to visit nearby vineyards for wine tasting or trying some of the local delicacies. People from all over the world come to these courses so you are guaranteed to make friends. More often or not people who visit an Italian course often come back in the future because they have so much fun. It is even fun to do school as a couple and then go home and practise on each other. Pisa is a great city with a lot of different schools offering packages to suit your timeframe and budget.
